Suburban Community Hospital Welcomes

Ashley J. Miller, DO to Suburban Medical Group

 

East Norriton, PA (April 28, 2023) –Ashley J. Miller, DO, a board-certified Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine physician, has joined Suburban Community Hospital under Suburban Medical Group.

In her new role, Dr. Miller will work alongside a team of diverse and experienced professionals who have a strong passion for providing community-based care.

“I enjoy family medicine because I am able to treat patients who have various conditions, and can provide care to the entire family,” said Dr. Miller.

Dr. Miller uses lifestyle medicine as the foundation for the treatment of chronic disease, with medications and medical interventions being used as necessary. She encourages and empowers patients to live healthier lives by addressing nutrition, physical activity, pain management, behavior health coaching and the avoidance of harmful substances.

Dr. Miller comes to Suburban Community Hospital from KMG Medical Group, where she focused on telemedicine. Before KMG Medical Group, Dr. Miller was employed with Dorsal Health and Doctor on Demand. While working at Doctor on Demand, she conducted over 14,000 telehealth visits within pediatrics and geriatrics. She also worked at Mercy Primary Care in Philadelphia, affiliated with Nazareth Hospital and Mercy Primary Care in Plymouth Meeting.

Dr. Miller received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton, and medical training at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia, PA,  Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, Willingboro, NJ, and Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, NJ.

Dr. Miller has been featured in numerous academic research publications, including three times in the Pennsylvania Academy of Science and Development Biology for her work on the expression and characterization of aminopeptidase during sea urchin development.

Dr. Miller holds professional affiliations with the American Mensa, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller is a travel agent specializing in Disney vacation planning for Global On Demand Travel.
