The 2024 HAP Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge—April 1 to April 30
HAP’s 2024 Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge, will begin April 1, 2024, in conjunction with National Donate Life Month.
In the United States there are over 100,000 individuals waiting desperately for an organ transplant. Sadly, many of them will never receive this. Making the decision to become an organ donor is not an easy one and is deeply personal. It is also a very significant decision that one makes that has the ability to affect another individual’s life. There are many myths surrounding organ donation, so it is important to know and understand the facts before making this decision. Education and awareness are extremely important.
That is why Suburban Community Hospital is proud to announce their participation in HAP’s 2024 Donate Life Hospital Challenge. HAP, which is the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the two organ procurement organizations serving Pennsylvania—the Center for Organ Recovery & Education and the Gift of Life Donor Program—to support this very important cause. The challenge runs from April 1st through April 30th 2024.
The HAP Donate Life Hospital Challenge encourages Pennsylvania hospitals to increase organ donation awareness and designations within their hospital and community. Hospitals will be acknowledged for their efforts. We here at Suburban are honored to be part of such a worthy cause! For the past several years we have participated in this event and awarded the platinum award for our efforts! We hope to surpass this in 2024!
