Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, Suburban Community Hospital has canceled all previously scheduled events and classes. Events and classes will reconvene at a later date.

While we understand the important role that family members and visitors play in a patient’s healing process, our new policies (which align with many other area hospitals and health systems) aim to balance the needs of patients while maintaining a safe environment for all.
We will continue to monitor this situation. The need for visitor restrictions will be re-evaluated regularly.
All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals.
The Alzheimer’s Support Groups are designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers through regularly scheduled meetings.
They help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems. The groups encourage caregivers to maintain their own personal, physical and emotional health, as well as optimally care for the person with dementia.
The support group meets 2nd Thursday monthly from 7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Suburban Community Hospital, Gerber Room on the 2nd floor.
