The Suburban Behavioral Health Campus of Roxborough Memorial Hospital, formerly known as Suburban Community Hospital, is committed to enhancing community health and fostering a holistic healing environment where compassionate care converges with quality healthcare.
Historically, Suburban Community Hospital has utilized various strategies to assess and address the health needs of the communities it serves in the Philadelphia region. In 2012, the hospital partnered with 28 facilities through the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council (DVHC) to engage the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a private non-profit public health institute. This collaboration aimed to facilitate data collection, research, and the initial prioritization of health needs within our service areas. The goal was to develop a comprehensive understanding of the most pressing health issues facing our communities and to formulate an implementation strategy aimed at enhancing overall community health. As detailed in the accompanying documents, the community’s unmet priority healthcare needs were identified through data analysis and community feedback, then prioritized according to the areas where each hospital could make a significant impact.
